Most small businesses start the same way: Gmail, a client list in Sheets, a quote template in Docs and a folder in Drive. It works until it does not, and you become the thing that joins it all up. BusinessOS keeps your Gmail and does the joining.

Judged for a business of one to five people that sells its time: a studio, a consultancy, a trade, a practice.
| Capability | Google Workspace | BusinessOS |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Email, calendar, documents and storage, each in its own app. | One workspace for a small service business, run by an agent that asks before it acts. |
| Gmail on your own domain. | Connect your Gmail and keep it. Or take email on your own domain in BusinessOS directly. | |
| Clients | A spreadsheet you build and keep up to date by hand. | Contacts and companies kept current from signatures, invites and meeting transcripts, with every email and meeting on the right record. |
| Proposals | A Doc you copy, export as a PDF and attach. | From templates, shared as a link the client opens and accepts online. You get a notification the first time they open it. |
| Follow-ups | Whatever you remember, or a separate to-do list. | Tasks created from emails, meetings and proposals, waiting for your approval. Home flags leads gone quiet and threads waiting on you. |
| Files | Drive, with search. | Documents, uploads and saved web pages, with search across what is inside every document. |
| Website | Google Sites, a simple builder you design and write yourself. | Built for you from your business profile and hosted. Change the wording in the editor or ask Bos. |
| AI | Gemini, with more of it on the higher plans. | Bos works across your inbox, clients, tasks and proposals. It drafts and chases, and nothing is sent without your approval. |
Built for the business that is mostly you, not for a team that needs coordinating.
If one of these is you, use Google Workspace. It is good at what it is for.

No. Connect your Gmail over OAuth and the calendar comes with it. Your mailbox stays with Google, BusinessOS works on top of it, and you can revoke access at any time. You can also take email on your own domain in BusinessOS instead, but the calendar needs Gmail or Microsoft 365, so keep Google if you rely on its calendar.
You can stop maintaining it. Connect your inbox and Bos reads your recent history and fills in your contacts and companies, then keeps them current from email signatures, calendar invites and meeting transcripts.
Yes. Google Workspace starts at £5.90 a user a month, and BusinessOS is £54 a month for everything including your first user, then £19 for each extra person. If you keep Gmail, you pay for both. The £54 is for the part Workspace leaves to you: client records that keep themselves current, proposals your client accepts online, follow-ups that do not depend on your memory, an agent across all of it, and a website built for you and hosted, where Squarespace on its own is £12 to £16 a month.
No. Bos drafts replies, proposes meetings and suggests tasks. Nothing is sent, and no invite goes out, without your approval. Every action Bos takes is recorded in the activity log.
Each workspace is isolated per organisation and encrypted at rest. Your data is not used to train shared models, and you can export it as CSV at any time.
