Your business, in your pocket.

A free companion to your BusinessOS account, on iPhone and Android. See what needs you, talk to Bos, read your inbox and clear your tasks, without finding a laptop first.

Start free trial How to get started

You need a BusinessOS account to use the app. Accounts are created on the web; there is no sign-up in the app.

The parts you reach for away from your desk.

  • What needs you, first thingThe app opens on the same Home as the web: what Bos thinks is worth your attention today, then your open proposals and anything overdue.
  • Bos, with all of your contextThe same agent as the web app, not a cut-down version. Ask about a client, have it draft an email, or add a task by describing it. Anything it wants to send waits for your approval.
  • Your inboxRead and search your mail and open a thread in full. Bos can draft the reply and leave it for you to read before it goes anywhere.
  • Tasks, including the review queueYour tasks as a list built for a phone. Complete something, set a due date, or work through what is waiting on your approval.
The BusinessOS app open on Home: a greeting, an Ask Bos button and shortcuts to write an email, add a task or search, above suggestions from Bos, including that Tom at Fernwood is waiting on a number and that Friday's pitch deck has three slides left.
Home
A conversation with Bos in the app. Asked what is still owed to Meridian before Friday, it answers with the revised scope still sitting in Draft and an unanswered timeline question from Priya, then says which to do first.
Bos

What stays on the web.

The app is the part of BusinessOS you want standing up. The rest is work that wants a proper screen.

  • Contacts and companies, proposals, files and your calendar are web only. The web app has phone layouts, so you can still reach them from a browser when you are out.
  • Creating an account, billing, inviting your team and two-factor setup all happen on the web. The app links you there rather than half-implementing them.
  • Anything the app cannot show you, it can take you to.

How to get started.

In this order. The app signs you in, it does not sign you up.

Coming to the App Store and Google Play. It is free with your account.

  1. Create your account on the web

That is the only place you can do it. There is no way to create an account, or start a subscription, from inside the app.

  2. Download the app

It is free with your account, and there is nothing to buy inside it.

  3. Sign in with that account

Email and password, Google or Microsoft, exactly as on the web. In more than one organisation? Switch from the settings icon.

The app

Is there a BusinessOS app for iPhone and Android?

Yes, for both, and it is free. It is a companion to your BusinessOS account rather than a second product, so you sign in with the account you already have and see the same work. It covers what needs you today, Bos, your inbox and your tasks. You cannot create an account from the app: sign up on the web first, then download it and sign in.

Does the app cost anything?

No. It comes with your BusinessOS account at no extra charge, and there is nothing to buy inside it. Accounts are created and paid for on the web.

Can I do everything in the app that I can do on the web?

No, and that is deliberate. The app covers the parts you reach for away from your desk: what needs you today, talking to Bos, your inbox and your tasks. Contacts, proposals, files and your calendar stay on the web, where there is room to work on them properly. The web app also works on a phone browser if you need one of those while you are out.

I do not have a BusinessOS account yet. Can I use the app?

Not yet. The app signs you in, it does not sign you up, so there is no way to create an account from inside it. Create one on the web first, which takes a few minutes, then download the app and sign in with it. The app itself is free and sells nothing.

Can I approve what Bos has prepared from my phone?

Yes. Anything waiting for you, such as an email Bos has drafted or a meeting invitation somebody has sent you, appears with the full text and an Approve or Reject on it. Nothing is sent until you say so, on a phone exactly as on the web.

I am in more than one organisation. Does the app handle that?

Yes. The settings icon in the top right switches between the organisations you belong to, the same way the web app does.
